Men's Basketball Gives Back to Local Community

Bluefield, WV- The Big Blues traveled to Bluefield's Wade Center last week to help the Center prepare for an incoming mission group. The Men's basketball team moved furunture and created bunk beds for an incoming mission trip.

This was the first time the Men's basketball team has helped out with the Wade Center. Coach Price said, "It was a great experience for everyone. We learned just how influential the Wade Center is in the community and it was great for our team to support the community group like the Wade Center as they help support us during our season."

The Wade Center was founded in 2005 to help Bluefield's children, youth and families build relationships with others in the local community. The Center provides a learning space for art and tutoring sessions and also has a cafeteria and gym for recreational use. The Wade Center also provides housing for mission trips who travel to the Southern West Virginia Area.
