Bluefield, WV Bluefield State President Marsha Krotseng and Athletic Director John Lewis announced today that the Big Blues athletic department has entered into a five-year partnership with BSN SPORTS to make Nike the official apparel provider for the colleges 10 intercollegiate sports teams.

 

President Krotseng stated, Bluefield State is excited to establish this partnership with BSN SPORTS and Nike.  By embracing the world-recognized Nike brand, the College becomes part of a greater whole and gains wider visibility for our athletic program.  Nikes mission states, in part, To bring inspiration and innovation” which corresponds well with the goals that Bluefield States student-athletes and coaches strive for every time they compete.



The agreement includes numerous incentives in the form of discounts and rebates along with incentives for on-field achievements and additional marketing and promotional opportunities.

 

AD John Lewis excitedly added, The BSN SPORTS / Nike partnership with Bluefield State Athletics will help with recruiting and expanding our brand as a college. Partnering with a worldwide brand helps the college move in the right direction toward success.

 

Nike is regarded by many as the premier brand in the athletic industry. One of the world's largest suppliers of athletic shoes, apparel and equipment, the company's eye-catching logo has become a cultural icon.

As a member of the USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association), the athletes who compete for Bluefield State as a member of the mens or womens teams will proudly represent BSC throughout the seasons for cross country, basketball, tennis, baseball, golf, softball, and volleyball in their new apparel.
