This season has been one of the best seasons for BSC's baseball team in the past few years. The Big Blues are currently 13-17 with a few more games left to play this season. While the inclement weather has impacted their schedule, that has not stopped them from competing to the best of their abilities. They have persevered through tough games and made spectacular comebacks. One game in particular was against Benedict College when they were down 7-1 in the top of the seventh inning. Peyton Durham started a comeback for the Big Blues when he hit a triple that scored 3 runs ultimately resulting in BSC winning the game 8-7. More examples of the team never giving up are: Logan Wriston hitting a huge home run in the top of the seventh that scored two runs and sealed the victory against St. Augustines; Kevon Moxey went 3 for 4 which helped the team breeze past Virginia State 11-6; Tanner Brandon hit a clutch single against Winston Salem State on a 3-2 count which allowed a run to score and win the game in the bottom of the seventh. The list of amazing things that this team has done goes on and on... Bluefield State College's Athletic Department is proud of you and thanks you for all of your hard work.
