BSC Can't Overcome Pressure in 1st Game Back

Bluefield, WV- Big Blues returned from the holiday's and faced off against a very tough Pfeiffer squad. Bluefield State could not overcome the intense pressure the Falcons put on the team and fell 112-79.

Pfeiffer's offense was clicking coming off the holiday, shooting 47% from the field and 53% from 3-point land. The team was led by Andrew Guerrero who was perfect from the floor in the 1st half. He ended the day 10-12, 5-6 from 3. Guerrero added 5 more boards to his 28 points. The Falcons also had 3 other starters in double figures. Defensively the Falcons forced 28 turnovers, one of the highest of the season for the Big Blues.

BSC's offense went through Marcus Richardson today who went 6-9, 4-5 from 3. He also had 4 assists to go along with his 18-point performance. Spring newcomers in Keenma Jones and Rashawn Brooks both also saw some action for their 1st game of the season. As a team Bluefield State shot 47% from the field, 39% from 3.
