BSC Outmatched in Evansville

Evansville, IN- The Big Blues played their second game over the winter holidays against the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. Things were not going Bluefield State's was from the very get-go as the Screaming Eagles over powered the Big Blues. BSC only mustered 24 points in the 1st half and ended up falling 122-59.

Offensively the Big Blues were led by Marcus Richardson who led the team with 10 points. Richardson also had 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Freshman James Moreland also had a solid night from the floor. Moreland had 9 points, all coming from behind the arc.  

But the Screaming Eagles just outmatched Bluefield State and were really solid on the court. USI had 29 total assists and scored 36 points on BSC's 23 turnovers. Southern Indiana was led by Jeril Taylor who had a triple-double with 15 rebounds, 10 assists and 15 points.

The Big Blues will put this game behind them as they turn around and face Salem International on Saturday. Salem is currently 1-12 this season. Game is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm. Check back on go-bstate.com for updates to live stats and video.
