Bluefield, WV- The Big Blues played their final home game of the 2016-2017 and honored the 5 seniors for their time with the Men's Basketball Program. Unfortunately, Alderson Broaddus was able to spoil the party, winning 81-75.

Marcus Richardson, Julian Hernandez, Jamal McCoy, Joshua Windham and James Day were all honored pregame by the Basketball team and the Athletic Department. Then Coach Price started all 5 seniors and it was working well against the Battlers defense. Tyree Baker came on late in the 1st half and put on a show. He made his 1st three shots before his first miss of the night. Baker ended the game with 13 points, a career high for him.

In the second half, AB started to mount a comeback and the Big Blues could not get stops when they needed to. The Battlers had 5 players in double figures and 3 of them had double-doubles.

The group of Senior's had an excellent night on the court. Joshua Windham led all scorers with 23 points. Julian Hernandez had another double digit scoring night with 13. Jamal McCoy had a good night inside the paint, including a huge "And-1" situation in the comeback attempt by BSC. James Day was very impressive on the boards, ending the game with 5 tough rebounds, two of those that led to put back layups. Finally Marcus Richardson was excellent with the ball limiting the turnovers and having an assist on the night.
