Golf Finishes 14th in First Tournament of Spring

Greeneville, TN- The Big Blues hit the golf course for the 1st time this spring at the Tusculum Invitational. The team was working on getting back into their groove after the winter break and finished 14th for the tournament with a 627 overall score.

Kirk Collins was the low scorer for the Big Blues scoring a 76 and 75 in his two rounds of play, which put him in a Tie for 34th. Collins had an incredible shot in round 1 on hole #8, giving him an Eagle, one of two Eagles on that hole for the tournament. Mr. Consistency JT Lester shot 79 both rounds putting him in a tie for 64th overall. Blake Hash also finished tied for 64th, making a furious comeback shooting a 77 in round 2 after shooting an 81.

The Big Blues now turn their attention to the Fincastle Invitational, which is Bluefield State's home tournament for the Spring Semester. Check back for all the updates for this tournament as it starts Monday April 3rd
