Roanoke, VA- The Big Blues played in their 2nd to last tournament of the 2017 season against some solid competition. Round 1 had Bluefield State right in the mix of things fighting for the top spot, but Round 2 was a little different story. The team struggled from having 2 rounds in one day and ended in 5th place with a score of 634.
In Round 1, Karson Terry played extremely well, shooting a 74 and only 2 strokes off the lead. But like most of the Big Blues, struggled down the stretch and ended with a score of 157, which put him 16th for the tournament.
Kirk Collins had more consistency for his two rounds. Collins shot a 75 and 77 in both rounds for a total of 152, good enough for 6th in this very tough field.
The Big Blues will play in the Cecil Spadfora Invitational hosted by Indiana University of Pennsylvania over Easter Weekend. BSC will face some solid Atlantic Region competition in the tournament in hopes of receiving a bid to the NCAA Regionals in May.
