Seniors Finish Career at Cecil Spadafora Invitational

Indiana, PA- The Big Blues end their 2016-2017 season at Indiana University of PA's Cecil Spadafora Invitational coming in 10th place. Windy conditions in Day 1 really affected the Big Blues and they could not gain any spots in Round 2.

Kirk Collins had the low scores in both days for Bluefield State, posting a 76 and 79 for a total of 155, finishing T21 in the field. Blake Hash was second on the team shooting a 167 which placed him 47th in the field. Karson Terry had an impressive Round 2 after a slow start in Round 1. Terry shot a 92 in Round 1 then turned it around and shot a 79. This turn around tied him with fellow Big Blue JT Lester who shot 89-82. Justin Mariotti came in right behind Terry & Lester, shooting a 90-87 for his 2 rounds.

As this season ends, this team will look back on an incredible run their 4 years as members of the team. The 6 seniors that will be graduating in May, had been through a lot including 5 coaches in 4 years. But the team can hang their hat on helping provide Bluefield State with their 1st National Championship since 1927-1928.
