Third place for the Big Blues at Mister Bee Intercollegiate

MARIETTA, OHIO- Over the weekend Bluefield State College Men's Golf played in the Mister Bee Intercollegiate hosted at the Marietta Country Club and by Ohio Valley University. The Intercollegiate took part over two days, with the second day shortened from the scheduled eighteen holes to nine holes due to weather in the area.

Four teams competed over the twenty-seven-hole event and at the end of day two, Davenport University finished in the top position with a score of 434. Bluefield State College finished the rounds with score of 479.

Individually our player Franco Di Benedetto finished the competition tied for the top spot with a total score of even (E) for the course with rounds of 70 and 35 (135). He went to a playoff with two players, one from Ohio Valley University and the other from Davenport. Unfortunately, Franco lost the playoff and came in the second place.

Cristian Galdeano had a good tournament also, who tied the fourth place with a total of 108(+3) with rounds of 73 and 35.

Overall, Chris Jones finished in the 17th position with a total of 127(+22) with rounds of 88 and 39. Wayne Brookman had rounds of 97 and 42 with a total of 139(+34).
