Men's Tennis Ranked 41st in National Preseason Poll

Bluefield, WV- The 2016-17 Oracle/ITA Division II Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings were released yesterday at the conclusion of the 2016 Fall Season and the Preseason Rankings for the Spring Season. Your Big Blues are currently ranked 41st after finishing last season 43rd. This 41st ranking puts them 1st in the Atlantic Region in front of Edinboro and Chowan. The doubles partners of Platon Gud and Ignacio Pulido also are ranked 10th in the Nation after their win in the ITA Doubles Regionals and their performance in Arizona at the ITA Nationals.

The Big Blues look to continue their dominance in the Atlantic Region and win the Regional Crown for the 6th straight year. Alexander Rudenco is the highest ranked Big Blue in the region at 3rd. Anthony Braem and newcomer to the team Giorgi Datashvili follow Rudenco with being ranked 6th and 8th respectively. Bluefield State also owns the Top 2 rankings in the Regional Doubles Rankings with the pairings of Pulido and Gud and Braem and Rudenco.
