Pepper Pike, OH- The Big Blues ended their two game Ohio trip with the GMAC regular season Champions, Ursuline College. The Arrows have been on a tear lately winning the past 15 games. Bluefield State was their 16th victim in a row as the Arrows dominated, winning 122-52.
Despite the lopsided performance, Senior Tanasia Blake had herself a game. Blake had a career high 27 points, over half the points scored by Bluefield State in the game. She was 9-16 (56%) from the floor. Her 18 points on the floor were coupled with 9 free throws to get her career high of 27 points. Blake also had 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block in her final road game as a Big Blue.
Lyndsay Hatfield followed up her 14 point performance against Malone with an 11 point performance tonight.
Tanasia Blake and the Big Blues will have two more home games before this 2016-2017 campaign comes to a close. Saturday BSC hosts the Owls of Warren Wilson. Tip-off will be at 2:00 pm. At halftime the Athletic Department will honor Bluefield State Women's Basketball Alumni. The women then turn right back around and host Salem International for Senior Night. Tip-Off on Sunday will be at 6:00 pm. The Big Blues will honor Tanasia Blake for her four years of service to the department before the game so be sure and get to the Ned Shott Gym early to catch the ceremony!
