THREE IN A ROW FOR THE LADY BLUES

THREE IN A ROW FOR THE LADY BLUES

After a hard-fought overtime win on Sunday, the Lady Blues took to the road on Tuesday night looking to win their third in a row. Traveling the six hours to Mid-Atlantic Christian University didn't have an effect on the Lady Blues as they jumped out to an 18-0 start and never looked back.

After the fast start, the visiting Lady Blues would finish the quarter up 24-6. However, the second quarter would see the home team cut into the lead by 3 and the Lady Blues would head into the half with a fifteen-point lead 40-25.

The momentum would quickly swing back to the Lady Blues in the third period as they would only allow one point and would build their lead to 45 by the end of the period 71-26. The fourth period would see the Lady Blues score the first 13 points over the final stanza before Mid-Atlantic would score their first field goal of the second half.

Every Lady Blue who suited up would see action in the game with almost all of them seeing no less than ten minutes of action. The final margin would be 94-35 and would only see two Lady Blues break into double figures. The balanced scoring attack was led by Dani Janutolo who had 17 points and Kylah Webb would add 10. The bench would score 49 total points with Hannah Foster leading the way with 9 points, and both Jemiah Brittnum and Ericah Burton adding 7. Brooke Russell would come off the bench to have a game high 8 rebounds.

The Lady Blues will return to action after the Thanksgiving Holiday on Monday, December 3, when they tip-off at 6:00 p.m. versus Mars Hill University. The two teams met earlier this season with the Lady Blues pulling out a 77-66 victory. The men's team will follow with a 8:00 p.m. tip-off versus Virginia Union.
