Big Blues Fall to Rival Bluefield College

Bluefield, VA- The Volleyball team went down the street to face Bluefield College for the first of two meetings this season. Unfortunately, the ladies did not have the same success as they had last year, losing in straight sets to the Rams. Set scores were 20-25; 20-25; 16-25.

It was not the Big Blues night as they could not really match the intensity that Bluefield College had on offense and defense. For the 3 sets the Big Blues only managed 26 digs which is far less than what they have done all season.

Brittany Bonamy lead the team in kills with 10. LeAndrea Armbrister also had a solid performance as the team's primary setter with 20 assists and 0 errors.

The ladies finally get their first home game of the season tomorrow September 24th against Salem International. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm which is a change from what was originally published.
